However if you want to change the values of the parameters you need to go to the profile in the project browser inside the project i.e. Families --> Profiles --> Your Mullion Profile. To my knowledge it is not possible to change these values in the mullion itself as the mullion is extruded based on the 2D mullion profile family. ghaeberlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04566204488712968576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7464201176145688552.post-68291276258395138592013-02-25T17:09:11.711-05:002013-02-25T17:09:11.711-05:00"You can pass the Parameters all the way to t..."You can pass the Parameters all the way to the mullion."

Gregg,
Are you saying that you modify the parameters in the mullion family editor then reload the family into the project, overwriting the parameter values, to change the mullion profile or that you can select the mullion in the project and change the instance parameter values to change only that mullion?
JonAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11047352762863640958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7464201176145688552.post-63892845128436197452013-02-25T16:28:59.309-05:002013-02-25T16:28:59.309-05:00Jon,

Do you use the parametric values to drive the profile shape and then do a Save As to create a new profile or can you pass the parameters all the way to the mullion after it's assigned to the grid line?
JonAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11047352762863640958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7464201176145688552.post-60454458063168542962013-02-25T14:20:21.206-05:002013-02-25T14:20:21.206-05:00This is a great post. Creating profiles in this manner allows for a more straight forward QTO for us as well. A little over a year ago I created some parametric mullion profiles and added them to my company template. I have found this very useful in reducing the number of of profiles created over time and different systems. The only real drawback however is the inability to do visibility based detailing inside the profile family...at least that is what I have found.ghaeberlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04566204488712968576noreply@blogger.com
